A lovely thing to do is to simply compose a picture with stamped images using one ink. The images can then be wet with a water brush to drag out the ink to create light and shade. This produces a water colour affect. I also like to use colouring pencils over the top to introduce a little light colour. Edging the art work with an alcohol marker is also important before mounting on complimentary coloured card.

To create this card I have used:

1. Water colour card from Crafter’s companion;
2. Chipped Sapphire distress ink;
3. ‘ A little but scenic’- sea scapes stamps from Sheena Douglass;
4. Coloured pencils- spectrum noir- Crafter’s companion;
5. Rocker blocks;                                              ”               “
6. White pen;
7. Dark blue alcohol marker;
8. Navy and cream card;
9. Water pen;
10. Adhesive

Once the images had been stamped on to the water colour card, with my water brush I lightly blended the line art and blended the ink using the shading on the stamp as a guide for where the light and dark parts should be. When the ink was dry I added some highlights with a white pen and sketched in some pale colour with my pencils. I edged the water colour card with my dark blue marker and mounted on to plain card in navy and cream.
