Easter Bunnies

Here are a few Easter card ideas using bunny stamps and masks from Clarity stamps, a Sheena Douglass hessian texture embossing folder, Specrum noir pencils and colour cloud inks. I also used my Tattered Lace pin dot oval dies to create the frame.

A great thing about the stamp set is that it comes with masks for the bunnies. This is an important part of the scene building process.

I cut an oval from a piece of Sheena stamping card and a larger oval from a pale pink A5 card blank. I lined the inside of the card with an embossed piece of green card. The outside of the card was decorated with purple organza ribbon and a pink daisy. The aperture was edged in gold ink.

To build the scene on the oval die cut, the bunnies must be stamped first, then masked. I used ‘smokey gray’ versafine ink. The foliage is then stamped on top to create the landscape. Wipe off the ink from the masks and then build up the different colours of colour cloud ink for the background in diagonal bands, using torn copy paper in the shape of hills to act as a mask. Then take the plastic masks off the bunnies and colour with pencils and add shadows depending on where you think the light is coming from. Here are a few examples.

In this last one I added at little more texture using a Thinlit die from Sizzix and embossed a die cut oval in kraft card to frame it. The method was much the same but I mixed it up a bit with a different layout and colour scheme.

I hope this provides some more Easter inspiration!!
