Distress oxides- happy style!

Today’s mixed media stamping project is my entry for the Craft Stamper take it make it challengeanything goes’   craftstamper.blogspot.co.uk

Also the Mix it up challenge blog -anything goes-with the added twist of distressing – mixitupchallenge.blogspot.co.uk

My new distress oxide inks finally arrived so I decided to have a play!

No pastes today! Just ink stamps and a couple of dies. Apart from water colour card and an A4 canvas board I used the following products:

The flower die was free from one of my Crafter’s Inspiration magazines. I’ve featured stamps from Visible image; Leonie Pujol, Bee Crafty and Carabelle Studio.

How it was done:

Using my craft mat I randomly picked up water spritzed oxide ink on to a couple of sheets of watercolour card. The stamps and home made stencil added textural interest.

Assemble the elements with a few finishing touches.

  1. You call what you made above uncomplicated? What a beautiful piece of art you have created here. It is simply amazing how you have every little element perfectly balanced. This is just stunning. Love it. Thanks for sharing wit us at Mix It Up this month. Sure hope you join us again with your talent.

  2. Looks amazing! Great composition. I think I may have to invest in a few more colours of Distress Oxide myself. I ordered Twisted Citron, but swapped if for another colour, because the new colours were delayed until the end of August :/

Good luck with your entry. I ought to try entering the Craft Stamper challenges myself, but I’ve cancelled my subscription as I’m running out of shelf space!

      1. Yeah they are different aren’t they. I like how they work with the normal Distress Inks too. I am going to order a few more when the new lot are in stock I think! 🙂 I’ll keep an eye peeled for when you try out the new ones!

  3. Beautiful project. Great attention to detail and lovely colours. Thanks for playing along with the Craft Stamper challenge xx
