Staying with the new Sara Signiture collection -‘Vintage tea party’ launching on Hochanda tonight, here’s another idea combining a few of the dies, papers, embossing folders and trimmings.- recipe book for jams and chutneys.
I purchased an inexpensive notebook.I opened the ring binding and removed the front and back covers. I inked the embossing folders with distress oxide and embossed several pieces of Sheena card. These were pieced, adhered and layered to the front and back covers. I also distressed the edges. The insides were painted using pink Pebeo paint. Lace covered the joins and neatened the edges.
The focal elements were diecut from the paper pack and some silver glitter card. The flower was fussy cut from one of the pattererned papers. I used a black fine liner pen to add faux stitching and some highlights.
Bakers twine added the finishing touch.
The covers were reassembled and the binder closed. – A pretty update for a plain notebook!
Hope you like it.
