Today I’m sharing a couple of sewing projects using the ‘Vintage tea party’ Sara Signiture collection from Crafter’s Companion. With the Gemini die cutting machine and a little fabric stabiliser there’s no reason why you can’t use your dies to produce shapes for your appliqué and free motion embroidery projects!
Vintage purse:
I also used a couple of threader products from Crafters companion along with my lovely tilda fabric.
purse template;glitter fabric; felt; adhesive and fabric stabiliser
Tea Cosy:
I used a Debbie Shore heart stencil and some more tilda fabric. The hearts were treated with iron on stabiliser and the tea cosy sides had wadding in between the outer and inner fabric . I even quilted the pieces before they were sewn together! Oh and had lots of fun with a little free motion embroidery.
The lace trimmings added the final touches to the top and buttom.
Just another way to use your dies. Can’t leave the sewists out!
Hope you enjoyed the shows and I’m sure you will love this collection!
Till next time

Very cute Lisa and great to see the dies used in sewing rather than paper craft projects.
