Fly free

Hi everyone, today I’m continuing the birdie theme with a lovely bird zen tangle stamp from Lost coast designs. I’m also using one of my gelli plate print background designs which was created using Amsterdam acrylic paints.

This is how it began.

To create extra texture and colour, using Carabelle studio stamps, distress oxide and archival coloured inks I stamped randomly across the background. I also stencilled in white and used some coloured washi tape and a few collage strips from printed scraps.

I used floristry wire, pink mesh and black thread for extra texture. The words are from ideaology.

The bird was stamped in versafine black ink cut out and coloured using Amsterdam acrylic markers. I thought he looked good with a little crown! He was fixed on top of the wire and raised slightly using hot glue.

The little canvas was edged using Amsterdam oil pastel.

I really enjoy using printed backgrounds and seeing what I can create using them. You just never know !

Thats all for now. I very much appreciate your interest.
