Hi there and welcome to the very exciting Visible Image and My Sweet Petunia blog hop!
We will choose two lucky people from the hop who leave comments. They will win one of two prizes: a $50 shopping spree at http://www.mysweetpetunia.com and a $50 shopping spree at visibleimage.co.uk – leave your comments no later than Monday, April 30th, at 11:59 PM Central time and winners will be announced on Tuesday May 1st, on the Visible Image and My Sweet Petunia blogs.
Today I’ve made a card using three stamp sets from Visible Image and the very cute and surprisingly versatile Mini MISTI from My Sweet Petunia.
Here’s the project.

Step by Steps:
To prepare the background I decided to print some sunset like colour using my 3×5 Gel press, Spectrum Noir sparkle pens and the Mini MISTI.
I cut a piece of Sheena stamping card to size and lightly prayed it with Ranger distress resist spray to create some texture.
I lined up the Gel press in the centre of the card in the MISTI. Once attached to the lid I added the colour from the pens and spritzed with a little water. Using the lid I printed the colour to the centre of the page.
I dried the card and placed it back in the MISTI. Using the background swirl stamp and versa mark ink I stamped and heat embossed using gold sparkle embossing powder.
Because the resist spray had added texture I was able to highlight this using wax pastel to lighten up some areas.
Next I lightly sprayed the background with fixative as it was water based ink. I then stamped the main image on to rice paper in black and heat embossed using clear detail powder. I cut the image out and adhered to the background using Matt gel medium.
I trimmed the card and neatened the border using white paint, red pastel and black fine liner. I also later added blue dots using a blue acrylic ink marker.
Next I cut black card to the size of the MISTI plate. I centred the artwork and extended the swirls on to the black card. This was also heat embossed using gold glitter powder.
I also used the MISTI to line up the sentiments. I was able to select one word from a multi word stamp and stamp it several times to get the depth of colour that I wanted.
Having prepared my first two layers I decided to mount these on to a larger card. To bring it all together I stamped ink blots in black, added gold and white splats using acrylic ink and finally extended a couple of gold glitter swirls onto the main card to add balance. The centre piece was mounted on to blue card and raised up using foam pads.
I hope you like it! Sunglasses optional!!
Enjoy the other projects!

I didn’t even know Ranger had a Distress Resist Spray! How cool is that. And, I’ve never used a gel plate but, WOW, I think I’d like to invest in one now! Love the background you’ve created. In fact, I love the whole card! Visible Image stamps look so unique that I’d like some of them in my stash as well. Thank you!
