Here’s a little inspiration:
This is Leni the Lima!
Leni’s home is one of the fantastic new mdf shrines. I’ve even used the waste from the packaging to extend the scene.
As usual I’ve used the That’s Crafty paints and ink sprays. Paints: magenta; peach;orange; pale pink and metallic sea blue. Metallic gold. Sprays: rose and bluebell. I’ve also used texture paste and white gesso .
To begin I assembled the shrine sticking it together using tacky glue. The project Was then primed using the gesso. I lightly sketched a background scene through the inside of the shrine and then extended to the packaging at the back. Before painting I used the stencils and paste to create texture.
I painted the scene and when dry lightly sprayed with the inks. I then highlighted the stencilled parts with the gold paint and white for the clouds.
I stuck the sections together adding a pre painted mount board base in gold at the back.
I stamped and coloured the images using spectrum noir alcohol markers. These images were fussy cut and adhered to the scene.
Finally gems were added because we love a little bling!
