You could be somebody

I have more Visible Image for you today, this time I’ve been playing with the charming new release Alice in Wonderland stamps! Available now for pre order dispatching the beginning of next month.

Today I used an acrylic pour background on an 8×8 canvas. I thought that the ‘ smokey patterns would suit the wonderful caterpillar stamps.

These are the VI products I used.

The background is acrylic paint stencilled on top using white gesso and highlighted using a white gel pen.

The background was enhanced by adding a foreground by using alcohol markers, water soluble pastels and a white gel pen.

The images were coloured using  Spectrum Noir alcohol markers then cut out.

The sentiment was stamped and mounted along with the images using foam pads.

Glitter was added to the toad stool and to parts of the caterpillar. Glossy accents were added to the glasses.

Finally the canvas was edged using wax pastel and mounted on to complimentary card.

The acrylic pour was done a few days before using the dirty pour technique. I will be explaining how this was done in a series of videos for different projects for ‘Mixed Up’next month. So watch this space.

‘Colouring in’is so much fun and Alice in wonderland is a classic and besides who can resist a toad stool !!

Till next time,

Lisa xx
