Well it’s definitely cold outside! We have had storms in the UK and snow is not far away. So it’s quite fitting that my mid month Lavinia stamps Creative challenge reminder has a poor little fairy in a blizzard! The theme is ‘All I want for Christmas is a fairy’
I’ve used the following stamps:
For my background I inked a piece of white card stock, used an Sheena Douglass embossing folder and then lightly sanded it using a sanding block.
Here are the steps:
I stamped and heat embossed the fairy on to rice paper, cut it out and then adhered to the picture using gel medium. I did this because the texture of the card was raised and I may not have achieved a clear image otherwise.
I then masked the fairy and added white splatters for snow.
Obviously glitter added the finishing touch!
I know Christmas preparations are in full swing but for those of you that have Christmas ‘in the bag’ and now need another challenge you know what you need to do! … you could be a winner and it would be lovely to see your Christmas makes.

A fab project. I was wondering how you had stamped the fairy on an embossed background. A great technique using rice paper, it’s something I hadn’t thought about doing, but definitely need to try it now. Sam x
