The joys of alcohol ink

I thought that today I would look at alcohol ink and in particular Ranger’s relatively new alcohol lift pad and re-inker. These have opened up a whole new world of fun and creativity for non porous surfaces. I have a few projects to share.

The first combines the lift techniques on yupo paper with embossed craft metal.

My favourite part was the use of the stencil with the re inker and a sponge applicator.

When stamping with the pad not only do you get a ghost image but you can transfer the ink on the stamp to normal card.

Once the ink has dried on craft metal it can be run through an embossing folder and die cut.

Here are a couple of other examples of projects where I have used the transfer alcohol ink on my stamp to create other projects.

There is such versatility now with alcohol inks. I love the lifting pad and different surfaces available for endless experimentation!

  1. Awesome projects, so full of colour and texture. I have these products but not tried them yet, but it looks like a lot of fun, Cathy x
