Chasing bubbles

Hi everyone it’s time for a mid month reminder of our ‘pinks purples and blues’ Monthly challenge for your chance to win £40 of LS vouchers!

Today’s inspiration uses alcohol ink, yupo paper and both coloured and black Versa Clair ink. The final piece has heavy duty acetate over the top to prevent smudging.

I’ve used the following stamps:

Faith fairy

Forest scene

Skeleton tree

Lunar buds

To create the scene I randomly added Ranger alcohol inks in blues and purples on to yupo paper. I also added blending solution. I basically let it do its thing until I was happy with the mix. I used alcohol markers to add extra dots of colour here and there.

I stamped the lunar buds in blues purples and black and added a touch of glitter to the centres.

The trees and the fairy were stamped in black. I only used parts of the trees to create the impression of forest in the background.

I hand drew the bubbles using a mixture of clear alcohol blending marker, coloured markers and a white gel pen.

I also added gold and white acrylic paint splatters.

I created an aperture for the acetate using a craft knife. This protected and framed the artwork.

There are some really amazing entries to the challenge so far. There’s still time to join the fun! You could be a winner and get your hands on the gorgeous New release stamps

Till next time…

Lisa x.
