Transform

It’s Visible Image day and I have a project using more of the February 2019 New release stamps.

Today I’m using an interesting technique combining distress oxide inks and photo paper.

The stamp sets used are:

Wings of change

And

Live life now

Taking an ordinary piece of photo paper heat emboss the large butterfly and small ones from the live life now set in clear embossing powder. This creates a resist for the ink.

Use the ink lift technique to add different layers of distress oxide ink to the photo paper. ( use a craft mat push ink on to the mat and spritz with water. Dip the paper into the ink randomly . Dry between layers.

It will look a bit strange at first but fear not, the magic ingredient- Ranger distress glaze when rubbed on top and buffed brings out all the layers. – like magic!!

Then use the other stamp set to stamp the edges of the large butterflies.

Stamp the patterned and smaller butterflies on to white vellum and cut out. Stamp the sentiment on to white card and adhere the butterflies to the project.

Hope you like it!

Till next time…

Lisa xx
