Hello there! I’m still on my holidays but I thought that I’d do a quick post as a mid month reminder of the Lavinia Stamps Monthly creative challenge.

This month’s theme is ‘A Sprinkling of fairy dust’. As usual the prize for one lucky winner is £40 LS vouchers!

I used the following stamps:

This background looks complicated but it really isn’t . I used dylusions ink sprays on to Sheena stamping card in pink, aqua and green. I sprayed quite heavily and spritzed with water. I then pressed a blank sheet on top and allowed the ink to soak in. When the sheets were separated two inked backgrounds were created. One had the appearance of a misty tree at the top so I used that one . When dry, I enhanced the colours further with pink and yellow distress ink. I added large splatters of aqua luster spray from ‘That’s crafty’ across the centre. This is an iridescent blue ink. I also sprinkled water on top and blotted the colour away.

I created a dark hill for the fairy and some foreground hills using torn copy paper. The mist effect at the front was achieved by using shaded lilac distress oxide ink against the paper.

I edged Winifred and the hills using a gold Sakura stardust pen and added dots and highlights using a white Gel pen and diamond stickles glitter.

The words were stamped randomly down one side of the page using salty ocean distress oxide ink. The stars were stamped and heat embossed using white sparkle powder. Winifred was of course stamped in black- nocturne versa Clair ink.
