Hello my creative friends. It’s my day at Visible Image stamps today and I’ve decided to share the first of my Christmas samples using the latest fabulous New release Christmas stamps Visible Image really have got Christmas covered this year!
Here are the sets that I’ve used:
Here are the steps. I’ve mixed ink sprays; ink pads and gesso along with my usual highlighting tricks!
First an ink spray print.
Then some drawing and masking followed by some gesso painting.
I used ink pads and makeup brushes to paint in the shadow details of a moon and foreground.
Then the stamping, remembering that images further away are paler in shade and colour. Strokes of distress oxide across the trees create the illusion of mist. The sentiment was also added.
The small details were stamped and then coloured in white and yellow. Glitter glue touched here and there. The edges were also darkened.

No regrets at all, I just wish I had more time in the day to
play and practice.
Lisa when your using the spray inks, do you spray direct on your card and spritz with water or spray on a mat and pick up the ink on the card? Hope that makes sense.
I spray directly on to the card ( Sheena stamping card or water colour card) then I spritz. Finally I place a dry clean piece of card on top and smooth it down and hold it for a few seconds. When the card is separated you get two amazing prints. Leave to dry naturally. I do it the mat lift way sometimes too for a layering effect. The print version gives more to work with when creating a fantasy background. Don’t spray complimentary colours (opposites on colour wheel) on top of each other to avoid mud! Hope that helps! Xx
