By the light of the moon

October is here and that means a new Creative challenge at Lavinia stamps. The theme this month is ‘All Hallows Eve’ …spooky!

Congratulations to last month’s winner . Up for grabs this month is £40 of LS vouchers.

For a little inspiration I’ve created a night scene. I adore the wolves and just couldn’t resist!

If you look closely in the foreground I’ve use a new little shroom stamp launching on 4th October!… shush!!

Here are the others:

Valko

Maka

Celestial tree

Bat colony

Bats

Talk to the moon

The steps:

I began with my usual ink-spray background.

I mopped a rough circle with a tissue and then decided to use the same inks to brush across to create dark clouds and a rough landscape. I added a hint of a moon using a white gel pen.

I began the stamping to create the scene. You will see that later I added more of the trees in a dark pink/ purple ink.

I added the shadow using my Stabilo All pencil. I also darkened the edges in black ink.

I decided to stamp the shrooms for extra interest and then used my paint pens to brighten areas. As usual I achieved this by adding tiny dots of colour. I also added the sentiment across the top.

The close ups:

I hope you like it!

Don’t forget to check out the fabulous samples from the rest of the team for more inspiration and of course our friendly Facebook group

Good luck in the challenge!

Lisa xx
