Moonlight flight

Well the day has come for the New stamp launch at Lavinia stamps! What a treat in store!

Using some of the new stamps I’ve created another night scene. This time I’ve gone for a full moon as my backdrop for the wonderful Pegasus and shroom landscape.

Here are the stamps:

Six brand new stamps for Autumn

Tree half 1

The steps:

I began with an ink-spray background and drew a circle for the moon. This was painted using white gesso and the moon detail painted using the same spray ink.

However, I didn’t think it was dark enough so I took out my Jane Davenport water colours and my intense pencils and darkened everything. I then trimmed the card.

I then began the stamping and built the scene using the masking technique and copy paper.

I covered everything up to add splatters using watered down white gesso.

I used distress oxide ink pads and make up brushes to add highlights and structure to the foreground.

Shadows were added using my Stabilo All pencil.

Additional stamping was then added.

The final touches where added using paint pens and the small shroom was stamped along the terrace. I also added silver glitter.

The close ups:

Don’t forget to check out the samples from the rest of the team for some more inspiration. I hope you manage to get some of the new stamps.

Till next time..

Lisa xx
