Night owl

Hi there, how is everyone? What have you been creating? I’ve been very fortunate to be working on the New release autumn stamps from Visible Image these are available now on pre order and released at the end of October. My sample today uses two sets.

I’ve used the following sets:

Night owl

Deep in the forest

The steps:

I began with another ink spray background.

I drew round a large die cut circle and painted it with white gesso. I then added soft pastel to create the moon shading.

I darkened the moon using pencils, my Stabilo charcoal pencil, paint pen and iridescent blue ink. I also later added soft pastel as a moon glow in blue/grey.

I stamped the owl on a separate piece of stamping card and coloured it with my zig clean colour watercolour pens. I then cut this out and lightened the edges using white gel pen.

I stamped the trees using the deep in the forest stamp and the branch from the owl set.

I added the owl, raised on a foam pad. I then added stars with my white pen. Finally I added stickles glitter around the owl and the moon for extra sparkle.

You will find plenty more inspiration from the rest of the team and our group members on Facebook. Our friendly Group is here check it out for inspiration and support.

The main Visible Image Facebook page is here; there are regular giveaways…open world wide.

And the shop web site is here; where all their gorgeous stamps and stencils can be purchased.

Till next time…
