Don’t judge

Hello! Have you been enjoying the new autumn release stamps from visible image? Today I’m using one of my favourite sets. I love the versatility of this set. Perfect sentiments and brilliant combination of images. Great for mixed media and journaling projects as well as cards of course.

Don’t judge

It’s great to get an opportunity to use up interesting scraps after a gel press printing session. Today’s project uses an MDT tag from Bee Crafty.

The steps:

Select an interesting print and cut to fit the tag. Stick with tacky glue and sand the edges. I also painted the back and tag stand using black gesso.

Heat emboss the image three times in black on printed leftovers. Then cut out.

Stamp and cut out a number of zig saw puzzle pieces from the scraps. Stamp more of these images on the main tag and stick the cut out pieces on top paying attention to the background colours. A contrast is best. Then heat emboss the scribble stamp on two of the person cut outs and repeat the puzzle card piecing technique on them too. Add the safety pin stamp on the centre image and heat emboss in black.

Heat emboss the heart in black on to the tag. Add some ink splatters in black and white. Assemble the cut out images on top using foam pads. I also added black thread for extra texture. Stamp the sentiments and cut out. Edge using black ink. Adhere to project. Finally use a pale coloured paint pen for a little doodling around the edges.
