‘Day is over night has come’

Yes it’s the mid month reminder of the Creative challenge at Lavinia stamps. You could be a winner of £40 of LS vouchers. The theme is: ‘Beneath the moon’. Totally magical!

For today’s inspiration I’m delighted to be using some of the stamps recently featured on Hochanda TV.

These are the stamps used:

Druid’s Inn

Berry leaves

Mini berry

Whimsical hares

The steps:

I began using an ink spray background.

I trimmed the page down and intensified the colour using permanent inks and make up brushes.

I stamped the tree and painted part of the moon using white gesso.

Next I used the gesso to paint over the tree.

I used watercolour markers to paint the tree painting the colours light to dark.

I then over-stamped this using black ink.

I added colour to the moon using chalk pastels and coloured the tree using watercolour pens and paint pens.

Next I stamped the leaves using both large and small in different coloured ink; black ; blue and dark pink. I also stamped the berries and coloured over these using paint pens and coloured pencil.

I added some detail to the foreground again using the paint pens. I added a shadow under the tree using a charcoal pencil. The hare and the verse were stamped in black. I also added a shadow under the hare.

The close ups:

Final touches:

I hope you like it!

I’m loving the entries so far. There are some totally stunning designs!

Good luck! Till next time…

Lisa xx
