New month, Hello March! Time for a Creative challenge at Lavinia stamps. Congratulations to last month’s winner!!. Up for grabs this month is £40 of LS vouchers. The new theme is ‘A forest gathering’ … So much scope to gather your favourite characters!

I’ve gone to town with the number of stamps in this one including some from the recent new stamp release! Here are the links:

The steps:

I began by using a sheet of card that I had used to mop up ink from an ink spraying session which had pooled on another project. I used torn copy paper and ink to begin to shape the landscape.

I further enhanced the colours by blending in some green ink.

I created a misty effect by then adding some distress oxide ink in pale pink.

I stamped the images.

I added white gesso to some of the images.

I coloured on top of this.

I over stamped again in black and then added highlights using white and yellow pastel pencils and white gel pen. This added a light glow effect.

I darkened the edges of the picture using distress oxide ink and coloured the foreground details using paint pens and neo colour crayons.

The artwork was then mounted and glitter added and a few extra hand drawn orbs.
