That’s my boy!

Happy Easter everyone! I hope you are safe and well. I know these are strange and worrying times many of us are stressed and a little lost. I can’t make it all better I wish I could. All I can do is share some art. Please accept my small offering to take your mind of things. Xx

Easter wouldn’t be the same without bunnies!

Here are the stamps used:

Mini hares

Woodland hares

Seed heads

Vine flourish

The steps:

I sprayed some ink on to my craft mat and placed a piece of clean white card on top.

I enhanced the colours by blending in some distress oxide ink using a make up brush.

Using some pastel coloured spectrum noir Aqua markers and some kitchen towel, I used the ink to blot out some areas to create the impression of flowers and grass.

I did the same for the moon. I also used darker coloured ink in areas to create contrast.

I stamped the foliage in two colours and the large hare in dark blue permanent ink.

I decided that he was lonely so I stamped a little Companion from our recent mini hare launch. I added shadows beneath the hares and a little detail to the moon using pastel pencils. I also began adding dots and highlights using paint pens and a white and gold stardust gel pens. This included white stars to the sky.

I used a black Stabilo all pencil to darken the hares .

Finally I mounted the picture and added sparkle using diamond stickles.

I hope you make the best of things this Easter . Let’s do what we can.

Take care!

Lisa xx
