Something fishy!

Yes it’s that time of the month again! Time for a Creative challenge at Lavinia stamps. Congratulations to last month’s winner . Up for grabs this month is £40 of LS vouchers. The new theme is ‘ My favourite stamp’ … A wonderful theme ! I couldn’t resist using some of theNew release stamps and stencils. Underwater scenes really are my favourite!

Here are the products used:

Fish set

Arlo

Flo

Sea tangle

Sea algae

Sea flower

Marine kelp

Coral stencil

The steps:

Similar to my last post althea’s treasure I began by using some ink sprays followed by pixie powders and brushos.

I did a little stencilling.

I stamped the foliage using several colours of permanent ink.

I stamped the fish. Darker ink towards the front and paler ink for those in the distance.

I used stardust pens glitter and paint pens to colour the images. The bottom half of the fish were glittered (two colours)the top half – I used stardust pens. This made them look 3D. The markings were coloured using white and pastel paint pens. I also picked out leaves from the foliage to add highlights here and there. I also added lines to give the impression of motion.

I darkened the edges using dark ink. And stamped the more kelp using gold acrylic paint. I also added speckles of white paint.

Finally… more glitter bubbles!

Don’t forget to check out the fabulous samples from the rest of the team for more inspiration and of course our friendly Facebook group

Good luck in the challenge!
