I’m back again… hello!It’s the 1st of December and that means its Time for a Creative challenge at Lavinia stamps. Congratulations to last month’s winner. Up for grabs this month is £40 of LS vouchers. The new theme is ‘Winter’s dream’

For some Christmas card type inspiration I wanted to keep things relatively simple. I was looking through my materials and decided to test out my distress crayons to see if they could create a watercolour background. I know they are mainly for colouring small areas or for smudging on to artwork etc but they also work for small backgrounds. Not as vibrant as other materials like inks or watercolour paint but nice for a soft muted effect. Today’s design can also be scaled down for smaller cards by choosing different stamps.
