Colour Cloud blending ink

This is a quick post to feature my new favourite inks, the Colour Cloud blending inks from Cosmic Shimmer. I was amazed by how well these blended. I literally wiped on the colours for this beach scene as a test to see how well the colours I chose went together. I used the smoothie sponges and started with ocean blue then the sandy colours-lemon meringue and crème brulee, then a little bit of frosty blossom followed by frosty heather and finally a little clear day. How well they went together!

I used coloured pencils to give the impression of waves and to add some texture and dimension to the background. I also used a ‘wee folk’ stamp of a lady and dog from Clarity stamps and again used my pencils to add extra detail and shadow. Then a few birdies and a stamped sentiment.

Finally, I cut the ‘scribble’ heart thinlits die from Sizzix  in white card and embellished with cord and a dazzler! I probably didn’t need it but my sun went wrong and I needed a cover up!

The scene might be a bit ropey ( excuse the pun) but the inks are really pretty colours. I will be taking them a little further in my next post.
