Canvas 9 -Diesire mixed media die set-‘Bunting Trio’ from Crafter’s Companion.
This is a useful set for your crafty stash. In this example I’ve used them to cut mount board . They can of course cut a whole range of materials including multi layers of card and fabric.
The materials:-
The method:-
to begin I embossed some Sheena stamping card and stuck to the canvas.
I then stencilled texture paste on top using Sheena stencils.
Once dry, I stuck down the buttons and fabric.
I painted a layer of white gesso on top and then coloured with inks. I was going for a sunset look with the sun in the middle .
Next came the sanding to highlight the texture and the colouring of the bubbles to make them look more 3D . I used spectrum noir pens.
I then cut my ‘tree flowers’ from book print. Freehand for the trunks and using a CC petal die which had come free with one of the CC magazines.
I edged the shapes in black and gold. I inked them and scribbled on top with a fine black liner. I also added buttons and bakers twine.
I also stamped small flower shapes randomly ( Leonnie’s’s range) and added sparkly gems to the centres. I doodled with blue and white pens in between the trees.
Finally, I cut the bunting shapes, inked and edged them and stamped my letters for the sentiment. I stuck various ribbons across the top of the canvas to attach the bunting.
