As you know, each of us is sharing our favourite makes for Mixed Up today, and the project I’ve chosen to share with you was quite a large mixed media piece called ‘Mosaic heart’
In this project I really enjoyed creating texture and a colour tapestry using air dry paper clay. This was very easy to roll out; stamp into; shape and paint. I was also able to combine a couple of favourite things along side my clay mosaic- crackle paste and rusty wire!!….who could resist? There was also a few rusty painting techniques thrown in too! Oh and a touch of bling (for juxtaposition purposes!) All in all it was a lot of fun and said a little about my take on the subject of romance into the bargain! I’m also showing a sneak peek of something else I’ve got coming up soon which celebrates the use of colour and gelli plate print left overs!

I love your heart with all the small details and colors. And the texture on the background are fab!
This is one of my favourites, all the things I love, crackles rust and heart wings. I love the way you created the heart with stamped clay. This piece just ticks all the boxes and so inspiring xx
the jeweled mosaic heart is most awesome and looks amazing on that crackled background ….and the forthcoming project is equally mesmerizing ….looks like you are playing with a Gelli Plate!!

Your mixed media piece is stunning! I love the mosaic and the wire wrapped around your heart. Grungy and textured. Love it!
