Yes it’s May and that time of the month again! Time for a Creative challenge at Lavinia stamps. Congratulations to last month’s winner . Up for grabs this month is £40 of LS vouchers. The new theme is ‘flora and fauna’ love this theme!

For today’s inspiration I’m sharing a picture that I created for my lovely daughter’s birthday. She lives in Berlin and I miss her !!

The steps:

For a change and taking inspiration from one of Tracey’s recent videos I decided to use brusho powders, firstly sprinkled and spritzed to create a base and then later diluted with water and flicked on using a fan brush.

First I blotted out a circle using water and a paper towel.

Then came the flicking!

I added white soft pastel to the sun circle to create more light and a halo then I began the stamping.

I added shadows under the hares using pastel pencils.

I added colour to the overhanging foliage with some highlighting in gold and white.

I continued stamping.

I added more shadows.

I then decided to add some gold splatters.

Finally I mounted the picture on to some card that I had created using ink sprays and added the obligatory glitter.
