Daisy chain dance

Today those pesky little fairies are having far too much fun in their secret forest hide-away dancing among the daisies, draped in their pretty daisy chains. The creeping vine stamp provides the perfect hidden vale for dancing the night away.

To create this scene I used the following stamps:

Fairy chain

Creeping vine

The steps:

I began with a lightly sprayed ink background including distress oxide spray for that misty look.

I enhanced and intensified the colours by blending in some distress oxide ink.

A circle mask and torn copy paper created a focal point and a landscape.

I stamped the vine branch continuously across the top and the ivy in several different colours. The fairies were stamped in dark blue. There is no black in this picture.

I added shadows under the fairies using a pastel pencil and some depth to the foreground by adding ink using a make-up brush.

I drew in the daisy chains on top of the fairies. I added daisies to the foreground using paint pens.I also added highlights to the foreground using a pastel pencil.

Glitter and dots of blue mica ink added the final touches after the artwork had been mounted.

The close ups:

I certainly hope they had a lovely time- really wish I could have been there!

Till next time,

Lisa xx
