Hi there, I’m back with a reminder that here is still time to join the Creative challenge at Lavinia stamps. The theme this month is ‘Dark but bright’! There are some really beautiful entries so far. One lucky winner will win the £40 of LS vouchers.
This is my offering for some last minute inspiration.

Here are the products used:
The steps:
Some swept up brightly coloured inky leftovers.

Cut to size to focus in on the interesting part.

Next the stamping. Also added yellow highlight using a posca paint pen

Then a little stencilling and landscaping using torn copy paper.

I added a touch of colour to the top using soft pastels.

Added colour to the tree and the hives and used white soft pastel blended out with my finger for the sun and for light around the hives. Also added more yellow highlights to the side of the tree and to Rory and a little white using a white gel pen.

Dark shadows we’re added under Rory and the tree using soft pastels.

I used a tiny stamp for some vegetation in the foreground to add extra interest and texture. I placed a few yellow and white dots here and there.

I used the gold stardust pen for additional highlights. I also coloured the hearts in the verse and Rory’s wings.

I decided to add stencilling to the top for balance.

And of course some sparkle!

I hope you like it!
Don’t forget to check out the fabulous samples from the rest of the team for more inspiration and of course our friendly Facebook group
