Yes it’s that time of the month again! Hello November!! Time for a Creative challenge at Lavinia stamps. Congratulations to last month’s winner . Up for grabs this month is £40 of LS vouchers. The new theme is ‘glitter and gold’ who doesn’t like a bit of glitz and sparkle… come on, you know you want to!! It’s a need really!

Today’s offering is a multi layered piece with lots of gold and twinkle.

I used the following stamps and stencils:

• Meadow mushroom
• Berry wreath with mini berries
• Winter berry mini
• Seasons change verse
• Berry stencil

The steps:

I sprayed some ink on to my craft mat with water and mopped it up using multifarious mixed media card.

I trimmed the card down and decided the make a feature of the shape left by the ink. I turned it into a sun.

Using torn copy paper and ink I added a hill. I masked this using the paper and stencilled either side towards the top of the picture.

I masked off the foreground again and stamped the mushrooms using a lighter colour ink at the top for the tallest one.

The wreath stamps where stamped repeatedly either side in different colours.

I did the same again this time using gold acrylic paint. I cleaned the stamp immediately afterwards.

I stamped and coloured the single berries.

I stamped a final layer of berries using the mini berry stamp and added little highlights on top.

Some shadows and wind lines were added using soft pastels and paint pens . Gold and white dots were added to the mushroom tops.

The verse was stamped along the bottom, the piece mounted and lots of diamond sparkles dotted on top.

A berry fest indeed!
