Hello and a very happy 2025 to you all!

I’m back from my trip to see my family in Portugal over Christmas. It was great to see them all after so long! I had a lovely time.

The good news is that my house is finally agreed for sale so I will be preparing to join them in the Spring, provided things go to plan this time!

I’m very excited about this new move. It is a massive life change, not just leaving a home that I have loved for nearly 20 years but also my friends and family here and of course leaving the stunning beauty of Ireland.

So this week’s project ponders a brand new year and a new beginning.

As I have no new home chosen to move to this time, it is very much a leap of faith. Scary but exciting!

For this piece I mainly used the Kuretake watercolours which are a hybrid between watercolour and gouache. You may find the tutorial Here
