Hello, well another week has flown by! I hope you all are well.
Still very hot and sunny here. Beautiful blue skies and sometimes a welcome breeze.
This week’s project goes larger scale compared with the mini project last week. It took several sessions with welcome breaks in between.

You may find the video tutorial Here
I used the large set of Kuretake paints. There is a wonderful selection of colours but as I have said before they behave more like gouache rather than watercolours. Great for building layers but often result in a shiny surface. I think I prefer ordinary watercolours as they allow for additional layers of soft pastel unlike the Kuretake set. –
Still I learnt a lot about colour mixing through the experience and as always it is all about developing the light in contrast with the darker areas.
I hope you get a chance to experiment with paint and maybe draw inspiration from the composition and stamping choices of this week’s painting.
That’s it for now,
Take care until next time,
Love, Lisa xx

Such a beautiful piece. The light really glows. Absolutely fabulous xx
Thanks Jackie. Very much appreciated!❤️
