Desert city

The fourth project, a stepper card, features the TL small city. It has been teamed up in this intsance with some of the TL nativity dies for a scene full of tradition and eastern promise.I have kept the colour palette simple confining it all to sand, saphire and black with gold highlights.

This is what we are making:

Project 4.

Apart from white stamping card, a little gold glitter card and black card I used:

I used the stepper die and cut my card shape from back card. I also cut a taller mat in black and mats for the front and sides from white card. I then cut the city, camels and star.I embossed the front panel and inked with distress ink and began to ink the night sky of the front panel.

I also inked the other die cuts in sandy tones and the foreground of the centre scene.I inked the side panels in a similar way and highlighted the camels with a gold wink of stella pen.

I assembled the card and edged with gold gilding wax. I added an organza ribbon and dazzler.I also and added shadows to the centre scene with alcohol markers. Finally I highlighted parts with glitter glue.

Quick but effective I think!
