Hello friends! How are the holiday preparations going? I’m in the process of decorating. I’m keeping it low key this year, just enough to embrace the season!
This week’s project combines water colour painting, stamping and some work with soft pastel pencils. I’m a big fan of the Lavinia stamps foxes!

You can find the tutorial here: https://youtu.be/x7Dbc4Ps9V0?si=rAGibXeIleWEpX2j
I did a little watercolour demo within the tutorial to supplement the main project. I then turned it into this picture which I’m giving to my daughter for Christmas. She lives in Berlin.

I was testing out my new faber castell pitt pastel pencils. They were wonderful to use with a fabulous range of colours!
For those who may be interested I have curated most of my favourite non Lavinia stamps art supplies on my Amazon store fronts:
My Recommendations
The project this week has already sold and is now on its way to the United States. However I do have a handful of paintings left if you are looking for a last minute Christmas or new year present. If you like winter water colour scenes I have recently added these to my shop.

I will have one more project before Christmas. Where has this year gone!
Until then, please take very good care of yourselves and of course when you get a chance, get creating, be brave and enjoy the adventure!
Love, Lisa xx

Hi Lisa,
Can you tell me if you prefer the Stabilo pastel pencils or your new Faber Castel Pit pastel pencils? Left me know the difference if there is one?
Thank you!
Warmest,
Martine Brisson
Hi Martine, so far I think that the performance is much the same although as I have only just got the Pitt pencils it is probably too early to give definitive opinion. The new pencils have a great range of colours. That’s why I bought them also other pure pastel artists that I follow seem to use them. The colours in the Stabilo set are brighter. I really like having both. I will be testing them out on proper sanded paper for pastels soon. I will know more then. So far they have been excellent.
