This week’s project is the result of a special request from my Mum. She wanted me to combine both hummingbirds with the shadow bloom flowers. – I liked the idea of using the bokeh technique for this one. This helps haze the background sufficiently to help the foreground images to come into focus. Also there’s nothing so graceful as hummingbirds with their unique poise and energy!

As well as bokeh I also show the water bleaching technique and stamping using white gouache. So have fun!
