Well, you cheat! – You add diversionary frosty sparkle and hope she doesn’t notice! This post is a bit of a ‘retrospective’ as I no longer have the card but I thought it was worth sharing as it shows the wonderful concertina card dies and landscape dies from Tattered Lace and Crafter’s Companion. Oh yes, and snowflake dies from Spellbinder.

The idea is that you cut two long strips of card with the dies which concertina to create the sides and a separate larger die cuts the different layers that have hooks which slot in to holes in the side panels. You decorate the back panel first and create different layers at different heights to create a scene building outwards, slotting each one in place . I will give more pictures on this in a later post. I assembled the current card with hills and trees and a few buildings and added cosmic shimmer iced snow glitter. I masked the moon in the same way as my last post and inked the background. A ‘post it’ note in a circle shape will do. This is what the basic card lay out looked like.

Nice, but not like you know what! So, I got my colouring pencils out and drew mountains in the background and intensified the sky and added white flower soft to create a 3D snow effect. There might be an ice palace in there somewhere… don’t tell the movie people! I purchased a digital stamp of the girl with the plat and resized it and cut it out on the Brother Scan n cut machine. I coloured the image with alcohol markers and pencils and added bling and a little blue organza ribbon. Finally I added some frosty snowflakes a happy birthday sentiment and I used the ‘scan n cut’ to cut out 6 with gold card. It looked pretty in the light!

I think my birthday girl liked it. It certainly looked like a cold place . Lets just avoid the ‘F’ word!
