I thought that I would do a quick post of another birthday project. This time I got to play with my sewing machine. The birthday girl this time made the mistake of saying one day that she liked owls. Since then owl themes have featured heavily! It was really an excuse for me to make one of Debbie Shore’s projects from her Spring project DVD. She gives really good step by step instructions both in pictures and filmed in real time. The pattern was easy to cut out and put together. I don’t intend to go through the tutorial as she can’t be topped. Suffice to say that although her instructions are comprehensive I still was able to put my own spin on the project. The owl has sand in it to weigh it down. There are patterns for three different sizes so you can have a door stopper or a paper eight!
Here he is before I added bling!
I also decided to make a card and bag to match.
I do alot of sewing. If you are interested you can check out my facebook page which is linked to this blog.
