Well for some Valentine’s inspiration I brushed the dust of my Gelli plate; I took out a few products from Carabelle studio, a stencil, distress inks and a few acrylic paints.. and oh what fun!
Here are some of the main products used:
I also used a couple of the printing stamps from Carabelle; a stencil and a couple of script stamps.
This is how it began:
To acheive this I used one main print and some painty left overs rolled from my brayer.
To add more detail and texture I stamped and stencilled over the top using inks and created a ‘resist’ by heat embossing white embossing powder using the ‘print’ stamps.
I used a couple of oil pastels to intensify patches of colour and to darken the edges of both the main background and the hearts.
Glitter kiss was added around the edges and to highlight the little mdf hearts. Black and white pens were used for doodling . I also stamped the script and dot stamps in black ink to create depth.
The sentiment was stamped onto scrap printed paper and edged using the oil pastel. Additional texture was created using black thread and pink florestry gauze.
Suitably romantic but practical too!
Hope you have a day full of love and romance !
