Hello again! It’s Visible Image day and today I’m doing one of my favourite things… creating another under water scene! This project really mixes it up!
I’m using a wooden canvas board along with acrylic paints and inks… and some foiling for good measure! Today sees several stamp and stencil sets combined. Such fun!
Here’s what I used:
Here are the steps:
I covered the board in white gesso.
I used the paint and stencils to create depth.
I left a light space for the sea horse.
I began the stamping.
I used the embossing glue from Ranger and versa mark ink to stamp the seahorse on to rice paper( indigo blu) I then foiled it using a gold foil from Crafters Companion.
The image was cut out and adhered to the canvas using matt gel medium. I used a white gel pen around the edges and some more acrylic paint with the fibres stencil to help it blend in with its background.
I used some of the stamps from the Organics set to stamp foliage and using foiling glue from pebeo I lightly drew in some lines which where cold foiled in the same foil as used for the sea horse. I also strengthened some of the colours using inks.
The sentiment was stamped and cut out and added to the canvas using foam pads. I also added some gel pen finishing touches here and there.
This is certainly a mixed media effort. Anything goes!
Till next time..
