Hello my friends it’s Visible Image day and today we are getting spooky! I’ve had a lot of fun creating this Halloween scene.
Here are the visible image products used:
The Steps:
Firstly an ink spray background dried and cut down to size.
I created a moon using white gesso.
Using the stencil I carefully sponged the image using distress oxide ink I then enhanced the stencilled image using intense coloured pencils, a charcoal pencil and some more distress oxide ink.
I masked the moon and created some splatters using watered down white gesso.
I then began the stamping. I also gessoed the right side of the moon again as I wanted the eye sockets and nose to be the main dark areas. The hill was made through a torn copy paper mask and black ink.
I used all of the tree shapes for background interest. I highlighted parts with my white pen. For the foreground I used parts of the tree stamps ( small branches) from both stamp sets and pale distress oxide ink. I roughly drew in the grave stones using soft pastel and a black pen.
Finally I stamped the sentiment and later highlighted it in white.

This, like all of your work is stunning! Never used spray inks before and really itching to give it a go. Don’t hate me for this question, lol, but could you possibly recommend say, 4 inks sprays, color and maker, as a basic beginners kit? Or put another way, what are your 4 main go to sprays (colors, etc). Just needing a starting point (doesn’t have to be 4, just trying to simplify). Completely at your convenience, await a reply…..Thank you!!
